The Slanket Review and Giveaway Ends April 30, 2010

 

The Slanket is known as "the best blanket ever". The original blanket with sleeves! It is the supremely soft and cozy, oversized fleece blanket, with large loose sleeves.

The Idea??

One subzero night in 1998 during my first semester of college I could not escape Maine's winter bite. While watching Late Night with Conan O'Brien I decided I needed to tear a hole in my sleeping bag so I could keep my upper body warm as I channel surfed during the commercial breaks. During Christmas vacation I commissioned the first Slanket to be made by my mother...and it was born.
Everyone behind the The Slanket is on the same level when it comes to life. Besides creating a product to make people comfortable and warm, our life goals are not to accumulate mansions, SUV's, expensive watches and closets just for shoes. What we want in life is to travel the world and experience all its cultures while representing humanity positively. Whether surfing in Costa Rica, snowboarding in Austria, or studying language in South America and China, we love to spread our sleeves and let them flap in the wind, giving back in the process. BUT... there is nothing like coming home, wrapping up in THE SLANKET on your own couch and feeling the warmth of your friends and family.

This was a Brillant Idea and whether you are from Canada like me or from the South it gets cold at some point and what better way to curl up with one of these. This is super warm , super soft and a real fun cozy way to watch a good movie, read a book or Blog! 

 I was ever so lucky a few weeks back to recieve a Chocolate Colored Slanket and Ruby Wine Simese Slanket  for Review and what better timing.  

It was cold...and I was sick with a cold ..which I had gotten from the kids. I was achy and ouch it hurt.  I was so happy to have this to snuggly up with. Emma has a hard time staying off of me so my moments rest includes Emma sitting on Me. I am sure most of you Moms know this one. I sit down and she automatically runs to sit on me. The Slanket is big enough for the both of us her being a Toddler but For Two adults this is where I was really fortunate to be sent a Ruby Wine Simese Slanket. The Siamese Slanket is a gigantic fleece blanket with sleeves for two! A very soft to the touch, lightweight, but warm fleece blanket with large, loose sleeves designed so you don't feel like you're wearing the blanket, simply wrapped up in its wonder. The Siamese Slanket is designed to keep your entire body covered and cozy while you still retain the use of your hands. Simplistic and practical, its innovativeness opens up possibilities, but still can replace any normal blanket. Size: 120"W x 95"L . All I can say is WARM, SUPER Large and a lot of fun!  The Ruby Wine Simese is a super color.

This color is so hard to describe with words. It's a feeling, a vibration, a longing. It's rich and vibrant. It draws you in and drapes you with comfort and color. If passion was a Slanket, it would be this color...maybe passion IS a Slanket.  Slide into one and find out.
