I have made many ornament recipes over the years but was thrilled with this basic gingerbread man recipe that is solid enough for the tree and little fingers but also for eating. The flavor of these chewy morsels is a Christmas treat. Emma walked around with hers for over a half hour and it stood up very well. I added a touch of currants to dress them up.

ReplyDeleteI am the antithesis of Martha Stewart, so when Michael's had gingerbread men kits...8 cookies, icing, decorator tool, and candy decorations for $7...I jumped. The icing hardened over night, and the cookies were hard and flavourful. I've paid $3-$5 per cookie at farmer's markets before, so for <$1 a cookie in this kit was phenomenal!! Sorry I have no recipes for you...
