Silikids Review

"It began in 2006 as a labor of love for two friends and mothers. With growing concerns about toxic materials in children’s products, Silikids was born; a children’s accessory company dedicated to making safe, clean and hygienic products out of SILICONE."
Products from Silikids include: Bottles, Glass Covers, Knee pads, and bibs.

Infant Silicone Bib
When it’s time to introduce solids... let the mess begin! It’s okay with this stylin’ silicone bib.
Designed to lie flat on your little one’s chest, this soft, wipe-away material is a welcome change from stained cloth or grubby plastic.
Hypo allergenic and dishwasher safe, the Silibib is available in an array of color combinations.
Price: $7.95

A great bonus to the silikids bibs is once you’re done, throw the silibib in the dishwasher!
no more stained, grubby old bibs. I was sent a Silikids bib to review for Emma and it is super easy and fast to throw on her at snack/dinner time. I like how simple it is and I like that there is no scratchy Velcro closure at the back to bug her neck. As for clean up, this is a great bib to wash up and use again. Perfect for for those messy meals. Thank-you Silikids!

The Newest addition to Silikids
The Siliskin-Glass

Toddlers want to drink from a 'big kid' cup. Silikids makes this easy to do with a small silicone covered glass. Easier to hold and protected in case of accidents, a Siliskin Glass is a great improvement to children's glass tableware
 Siliskin Glass
From two moms whose children are growing and inspiring new ideas, comes a new option for the entire family! The Siliskin-Glass is a clean alternative to plastic drink-ware.  BPA-free, and made from 100% food grade silicone,
the Siliskin-Glass helps prevent slipping and adds extra protection to the glass inside.
Glass is the cleanest option for drinking and it lasts because it’s reusable, and recyclable.
The Siliskin is also hypo-allergenic, and has no pores to harbor bacteria, is dishwasher safe, and can be boiled to sterilize.
Two simple ideas have come together to make the perfect drinkware better for your family and the environment.

clean Silicone is non-toxic and hypo allergenic. Silicone has few open pores, so it does not harbor
or promote bacteria or fungus growth. Because of its high heat resistance, silicone can be boiled to
sterilize, is dishwasher safe, and washer and dryer safe. Silicone does not fade or retain odor, and is
sturdy and easy to clean.

BPA-free Due to recent concerns regarding BPA, many parents are switching to BPA Free
children’s products. Silicone offers just that solution. Silicone does not contain toxic chemicals like
bisphenol-A, lead, PVC and phthalates.

safe Silicone is basically made up of silicon, a natural element present in sand, quartz and rock,
which, after oxygen, is the most abundant element on earth. Silicon is transformed into silicone when
combined with oxygen, carbon and hydrogen. Because it is an inert material, it does not react with
food or beverages, or produce any hazardous fumes. It’s non-toxic, hypo allergenic, does not promote
bacteria or fungus growth, and it does not transmit taste to food.

green Silicone does not decompose but it is recyclable - although probably not through your
city-wide recycling program. There are many specialty recycling facilities that recycle silicone. (Send your Silikids products back to us and we’ll recycle it for you!) Silicone is very durable so you won’t have to worry about disposal for a long time, thus promoting reuse and less waste.

hypo allergenic Silicone is also hypo allergenic. It’s inert so it doesn’t react to any other
materials and it is stable so it doesn’t disintegrate or react when sitting beside something else.
