MahaDevi Design Giveaway

 I love great yoga wear and when I fould this awesome site called MahaDevi Design on one of my searches for Bamboo and Hemp Clothing I instantly fell in love with some of the funky items.   I was even more thrilled when Freyja the owner generously offered a wonderful Giveaway prize for my readers here at Todays Diva/Organic Girl .  Their goal at MahaDevi Design is to provide their customers with beautiful and comfortable clothing made from the best alternative natural fibers. All of their garments are hand made in Canada, no sweatshop labor! 

About MahaDevi Design!

	Freyja made her first dress at age 11 (with Mum’s help) then started making clothes for herself regularly at 13 when her legs grew too long to fit into pants found in stores. After leaving her homecountry Germany and traveling the world for a few years, she moved to Canada to pursue training in Contemporary dance and circus arts, while at the same time moving into making clothes professionally. MahaDevi design has been coming to shape first by touring festivals in vegetable-oil powered vehicles during the summers and selling dancewear at various dance events. New designs developed inspired by patterns from nature and goddess energy (hence the name: MahaDevi means Great Goddess in Sanskrit, honoring all goddess energy in creation and in us) The creations became more and more popular, and help was needed and came in the form of Jules:
	Jules began designing clothing not long after moving out to BC from Ontario 4 years ago. When she couldn’t quite find exactly the right clothing for herself anywhere she realized it was time to create it. Clothing is such a huge part of our lives; it expresses to the world a part of ourselves and when we wear clothing that makes us feel beautiful and comfortable, it shows. Because of this Jules was inspired to make clothing for others too, and eventually Metadivine -her handmade, one-of- kind clothing line inspired by sacred geometry, our energetic fields and our divine essences - began, and was sold at a handful of festivals last summer. Last November when she began the Fashion Design program at Blanche Macdonald the plan was to wait until school was completed to take her business to the next level. Metadivine literally means next or later stage of divine. So, not quite ready to fully launch into the next stage, when Freyja approached her about a partnership it was obvious that there is no time like present to pursue your dreams.
MahaDevi is an evolutionary vision, now co-created to bring you beautiful, comfortable and sustainable clothing made locally.
