Baby Dipper® Bowl Review and Giveaway Ends May 22, 2010

Baby Dipper, LLC was founded in 2007 by Barbara Schantz, mom of two sets of twins. Barbara designed the Baby Dipper bowl to help her feed a baby (or two) using only one hand. Her mission was to bring one-handed feeding to parents, babies, and toddlers everywhere, thus simplifying mealtime hassles.

 The Baby Dipper Bowl Story

Barbara Schantz, mom of twin girls, Greta and Cora, born in 2004, and also the mother of twin boys, Franklin and Carlton, born in 2008. As a stay-at-home mom of twin babies, she faced the daunting task of feeding them. Frustrated with the bowls she had already purchased, Barbara investigated and bought other bowls, but still remained disappointed. The vision for the Baby Dipper^® bowl came to Barbara when Cora and Greta were about 6 months old, not long after they started eating baby cereal and other pureed foods. "I needed a bowl that required only one hand to successfully feed a baby, but why wasn't there one on the market that satisfied this need?

I was thinking that to accomplish one-handed feeding, the bowl should not slide around on the table and it should aid in the collection of the baby food." A non-slip bottom surface would keep it from sliding. A sloped interior surface and a spoon-shaped collection point would help gather the food down to the last bite. Also, adding to those features, vertical sides would help push food onto the spoon and transparent sides would allow the food to be seen easily by both the parent and the child. The bowl she designed has proven to make feeding much easier for parents and even for toddlers trying to spoon-feed themselves. The patented Baby Dipper bowl is truly unique in the marketplace and hopefully will help parents everywhere.

Emma is at the age where she loves to eat and she loves to feed herself so this was a great review opportunity for her to try out the Baby Dipper bowl. The Baby Dipper bowl (and spoon and fork) set (4-ounce plastic bowl with attached rubber base and matching plastic spoon and fork with rubber handles)

This bowl and utensil set works so great and Emma can easily scoop her all her food up with out the bowl heading off the high chair.

Its perfect size for portioning her snacks and food and it works great for all types of meals from Macaroni to Cereal.  It is stable on the table and is made especially for those small hands.

In order to maintain the integrity and grippiness of the soft rubber base, Barbara recommends that the bowl should be hand-washed.  It can, however, be washed safely on the top rack of most dishwashers. 

 The Baby Dipper Bowl is a really great product to use when it is time to start introducing solids to your baby. It really makes feeding your baby easy and the best part will eventually help your toddler feed themselves with confidence, or at least try to:)
