The Alex and Ani aesthetic underscores the idea that what is pure and natural is most beautiful and creating jewelry from recycled materials enriches the beauty of each piece.  Founder and creative designer Carolyn Rafaelian embraces a philosophy that is based upon using eco friendly, recycled materials made entirely in the United States. Because of this, Alex and Ani is able to purchase metals from local mills who have received recycled scraps from refineries, which in turn, use those pieces and sell their scraps back to the Mills. Carolyn believes that by creating designs that support the environment and encourage social consciousness, consumers can use their purchases to make a difference in protecting our planet and our future. 

Carolyn Rafaelian, Alex and Ani's creator and designer, hails from a family of jewelers where mastering their craft was not only an aspiration, but a family tradition. Residing in Rhode Island, the jewelry capitol of the world, Rafaelian knew she was destined to continue the family tradition and apprenticed herself to her father at a very young age.

Carolyn introduced Alex and Ani over ten years ago, naming the company after her first two daughters. Once she introduced her line of patented signature bangles, necklaces, and rings, almost overnight, everyone was taking notice. Celebrities, major fashion magazine editors, and the finest department stores and boutiques across the country adored the concept and design.

 I was lucky/fortunate and wowed by my next review. Alex and Ani were so wondeful and set me a wonderful Bangle Set.

I love bracelets alot. Well I love Jewelry, what woman doesnt! Alex and Ani have a never ending collection to suit any personality.  I have spent time browsing this site, and with so many favorite to choose from, it is very easy to collect this jewelry. It also makes for a wonderful Gift! Just think Mothers Day is just around the corner!!!
My set included a little bit of everything from the Collection.  I love the White Russian Silver, as this will certainly go with all my summer wear.  The expandable bracelets are an amazing concept and really set Alex and Ani Jewerly apart.

With a few thin straight Bangles and a few with embleslishment it really makes for a great set to wear. Wear all bangles or just a few, Alex and Ani make this for you to customize and for you to enjoy!
