Bamboo has the ablity to keep your baby warm in cold weather and cooler in summer. It is breathable which helps your baby stay more comfortable. This is simply a wonderful soft blanket to have. And yes it washes really well. I do not let this blanket leave the Nursery as she likes to drag ALL blankets around so this is our Special blanket that has so far stayed in her crib :)
