A healthy and happy life in an enjoyable environment is our biggest goal in life. GreenPan™ commits to this, and invests 100% in research towards healthy and eco-friendly technologies. Traditional non-stick is achieved by coating the fry pan with PTFE (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene); a waxy, synthetic substance. PTFE has well-documented disadvantages in practical household use. Above 260° C/500°F, this PTFE coating starts to decompose. The released fumes are proven to be lethal to small pets like birds! On humans, these fumes can potentially harm the respiratory tract and cause nausea and headaches. So, when you overheat your pan you damage not only your pan but possibly also your health.GreenPan™ does not use PTFE, but brings with Thermolon™ non-stick technology a healthy alternative to the market. Thermolon™ is heat resistant up to high temperatures. This means that GreenPan™ has an extra safety feature; if you overheat your pan, even up to 450°C/850°F, no toxic fumes will be released and the coating will not blister or peel.
- Their non-stick pots and pans are the first to be made with a non-stick coating made of minerals instead of plastics.
- PTFE coatings are manufactured with the aid of PFOA (PerFluoroOctanoic Acid), which is classified as a ‘persistent pollutant of the environment’*. Besides that, PFOA is a tough chemical that the body has the greatest difficulties in expelling and is known to be a ‘likely human carcinogen’*. We don’t use PTFE, so no PFOA can be emitted in the environment. * According to the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency, a US federal agency in charge of the protection of human health and the environment)
- Less energy is used when Thermolon™ is applied on GreenPan™ products, which means 60% less CO2 emission compared with the production of PTFE-coated pans.
- They process used materials into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials. Therefore we use upcycled stainless steel for the handles and upcycled aluminium for the cookware bodies.

The 28cm Stockhom is a work of art. It is perfectly balanced with a smooth handle that makes maneuvering the pan effortless. My hubby was a chef for years and these pans are higher quality than he is used to in the restaurants. He made over easy eggs with no oil or butter and they just slide around the pan. The crisp is perfect and rarely is oil or butter needed in the pan. They are deep with nice sides for making deeper dishes or baking meals in the oven. This pan maked the nicest golden brown Fritatta I have ever made and it was gone so fast. If you need a new frying pan and non stick and enviromentally friendly are on your list than Green Pan is a must in any kitchen.

I love this pan so much! This is your crape pan, your omelette pan, your everything pan that doesnt need a big frying pan . Egg in the Hole- My kids love these alot!! It is amazing how well this cooks. So evenly with out burning , you get a great crisp to the foods your are cooking with this wonderful pan. Another must have in the kitchen arsenal.
