ERGObaby is a family owned and operated company located in Maui, Hawaii. The ERGO Baby Carrier was initially developed out of a personal need when Karin Frost, Ergo owner and designer, had her son in 2001 and created a carrier for him. All have great uses, But when it come down to day to day wear and functionality the ERGO does it all and ten times more. I have had my ERGO for at least a year now and I love mine.{mine is Cotton} Emma loves it and its something she really seems to relax in when she in a terrible mood. Even at 15 months she just likes to cuddle up, this of course leads to her passing out on me. Ergo Goes Organic!

Karin Frost, owner and designer of ERGObaby, created their Organic line of Carriers and Accessories in response to the increased awareness for eco-friendly products and sustainable production methods. She traveled to India in 2007 to visit the textile mill, where their fabric is produced by a company that was the first in India to be organically certified in 1996. Ergo realized that our customers want to know that our fabric choices are eco-conscious, and that we trust and feel good about the mill involved. Organic cotton is produced without the use of harsh chemicals. Instead natural fertilizers, compost and the use of natural pest control have helped make the growing of organic cotton a viable enterprise.
The benefit of producing cotton organically, to the consumer, especially our babies, is the softness and quality that only organic cotton can provide. This is one of the top reasons people choose organic cotton for their delicate baby's skin.
Ergo's New 100% Organic Cotton Carriers (including the linings, Infant Inserts and Accessories*) are certified by the Control Union Certifications (formerly Skal International) in the Netherlands. CU is an independent, internationally operating organization that carries out inspections and issues certificates for sustainable production methods.
