About the Wee Rascals Owners
"As a mom of newborn twins I soon learned the benefits of swaddling, it kept my babies secure and warm throughout the night. However, I was suprised after just a few weeks that my babies had outgrown the many, many receiving blankets that I had been given as gifts and stocked up on myself. My mother, who is a professional seamstress with over 30 years experience made me some bigger ones. These were just perfect! and I continue to use them today for just about everything imaginable.My mother and I have always talked about starting a business together, but it was never the right idea or right time. When the twins were around 6 months we began talking about it again and selling the receiving blankets that had become so handy to me just seemed like the right idea. This is how Wee Rascals was formed. Soon, after talking to many of my girlfriends who were also new mothers the idea of sleep sacks came up. They were hard to buy in prints, or larger sizes or even organics. We knew we could fullfill this need too! Soon after we began working on this idea my twins started kicking their blankets off in the night and waking up because they were cold. I started using them myself and now I would never put them down for a nap or for nighttime without their sleep sac."
Sleep sacks are sleeveless allowing for airflow and layering for comfort.
Opening at shoulder to allow for easy access to baby for dressing and changing
Snaps are extra long pronged to provide strength and durability
Sleep sacks (fleece) are bound with 100% Certified Organic Cotton for extra stretch and comfort. (no binding required on interlock fabrics)
Zipper Tab closure for comfort and to conceal zipper tab or can be used to attach soother.
All seams are sewn and serged for extra long wearabilty
Their Sleep Sacks are designed to allow maximum ease in length and stretch Based on popular customer requests they offer optional features which can be added while ordering..... or simply leave blank if you do not require them. Their receiving blankets are extra large 42"X 42" so your baby will not outgrow them like most department store blankets. In addition to swaddling their receiving blankets have so many other uses including; stroller blankets, nursing covers, play mats ect. Their blankets come in 100% Cotton Flannellette , lightweight Fleece,100% Organic Cotton interlock and Bamboo/Cotton Interlock with various prints and solids to choose from! You can also choose from our predetermined packs
Organic receiving blankets are available in 2 different fabrics choices; 100% SKAL certified organic cotton interlock and a 70% Bamboo/30%cotton interlock. Both fabrics are a environmentally conscious choice, extremely breathable, naturally hypo-allergenic and very soft to the touch.
I was sent an Extra Large Chocolate Bamboo/Cotton receiving blanket for Emma for review. Its is super soft, big and stretchy and she loves its. It is such a wonderful receiving blanket. From bedtime to nap, to the Diaper bag, this has been a handy blanket to have. It rolls up so easily that it fits very well in even a small backpack. The Bamboo/Cotton Interlock fabric they use is so soft it`s unbelievable and it keeps getting softer the more it is washed. Bamboo is one of the most sustainable crops we can get fiber from. The raw material for this Bamboo comes from wild crops in non-polluted areas so it is naturally and organically grown and ecologically friendly. The dyes used are certified by Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 for textiles, which means that there are no harmful substances or toxins in the dyes or finished product.
